John Gregg Photography

John Gregg has been producing photographic images of his trips for the public since 1988, and is proud to have the world see his photographs. He has been hiking and backpacking in the southwestern United States. Backpacking trips of five days in the back country limit the camera's weight and size. He started using a Canon TL, 35 mm camera for his landscape images of the wilderness areas. In the past four years John has started using a Canon Digital Camera. This came about because the shop that John used to develop his slide film E6 film went out of business. This helped move him to a digital camera and Photoshop to develop his film. He uses Photoshop to develop his film not edit a photo. John likes to uses the digital camera in manual mode. He uses the knowledge of the past twenty years about speed, aperture, and focal length to get the right shot.

Photography renews my solo. I become a part of the image. I can see the beauty in the petal of a cactus flower or aw inspiring grandeur of a sunset at the Grand Canyon. I have been taken back by perfection of a sunset, reflected on beach sand and will never get tiered of looking for the beauty in the world.
